Healthy Little Havana

What We Do

We actively co-design with other residents and partner organizations a dynamic Community Action Plan (CAP) that addresses the root causes of poor health and health inequities. Currently, Healthy Little Havana has four focus areas outlined in the CAP, each of which has a dedicated subcommittee to guide the implementation of CAP goals and improve health and well-being. These areas include: housing, healthcare access, education to employment, and food and public space.

“This is the neighborhood that has seen me grow and has continuously taught me that when you work hard, regardless of where you come from, greatness can be possible. Good or bad, pretty or ugly, rich or poor, Spanish or English, this is my neighborhood and its people deserve nothing but the best.”
